(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, Brussels, 25 Oct 2013) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with note of dark bread, caramel and prunes. Malty taste with dark bread, caramel, roasted malt and a mild bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, with balanced sweetness. Quite nice.

Bottle, 4%. Good brown sugar aroma. Cloudy light brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is mildly roasted with a good yeast note. Tastes much like a German Dunkelweizen - and not too bad at that.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with an off-white head. Sweet brown sugar in the nose. Light body, subtle roast and rather fresh flowery hops. Dryish finish. But quite enjoyable. 180212

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of moldy hay, straw, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, yeast, fruits, and a bit of chocolate, leading to a dry chocolaty finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle, 75cl. A lightly unclear one, dark golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Caramel and some roasted malts in the aroma, lightly sourish and acetone-ish. Flavorwise it’s slighlty better, roasted and toffee-ish, with some notes of dried fruits. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Some bitterness in the else roasted finish. Don’t care too much for the aroma in this one, but it’s a drinkable and decent beer besides that. 120218
