Bottle @ Scott’s Summer Saison tasting. Thanks so much Scott! Cloudy, fluorescent, yellow-orange appearance with a small off-white head. Tart orange fruity, lemon/pineapple, funky, sweet aroma. Juicy, orange/pineapple, creamy citrusy fruity, tangy acidic fruity flavor.

Bottle shared at my 30:th birthday tasting on May 5 (30 år av Surt). Bottle bought @ Etre Gourmet. Pours hazy golden with a white head that doesn’t leave much trace when dissipating. Smell is sweet and tiny sour with pears, lemon zest, hay, lemon juice, white pepper, wheat crackers, dusty barnyard, wild strawberries and green apples. Taste is tiny sweet and sour with lemon juice, lemon zest, hay, white pepper, wheat crackers, peaches, orange juice, orange zest, grass, barnyard, plums, wild strawberries and hints of apricots and cloves. Mouthfeel is tiny tart, tiny dry and medium to full bodied. Finish is sour with lemon juice, orange zest , hay and barnyard.

Bottle at "30 år av surt" on May 5, 201275 cl, Bottled July 2011.Murky yellow color, small white head. Yeast, spicy, alcohol scent. Acidic, spicy, lactic acid taste. Smooth mouthfeel, very low bitterness.

Bottle 750ml.Unclear medium yellow orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, sugar, coriander, white pepper. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, candy sweet, white pepper, brett notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120128]

Bottle @ Too many Geuze’s - only one toilet , Ulfborg 2012. Pours hazy dark golden with a small white head. Tart bretty nose and flavor. Fruit, spices and hay. Sparkling and dry .Tart and peppery.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are fruits, yeast, pepper, coriander, malt, citrus and hops. Sour finish.

75cl bottle, Bottled on 07-2011 bought @ Fantôme. Couleur orangée/dorée présentant une légère brume, col blanc très effervescent et disparaissant vite. Arôme est fleuri, houblonné avec un beau profile fruité d’agrumes et citron. Petite note vient ajouter un peu d’épice. En bouche, bière très surprenant et qui continue de plaire dans la tradition des Fantôme. On y ressent une belle levure accompagnée de notes de poivre et coriandre qui ajoute un palais agréablement épicé tout en restant fort correct. Ce dernier gagner une petite pointe sur la fin une fois que la lie se mélange à la bière. Ce mélange d’épices est agrémenté par une petite douceur sucrée de candi ainsi que un profile fruité d’agrumes bien citronnée. Houblon est frais et fruité et contribue en grande partie à de belles saveurs. Carbonnation est vivante avec un aspect champenois, le tout donnant un bon aspect épicé sur la fin, dont le côté poivré plus présent avec la levure une fois arrivé vers le fond de la bouteille.

Bottle: poured a hazy light amber color ale with small fizzy head with limited retention. Aroma of sweet Belgian malt with light funky yeast notes. Taste is a mix between some sweet rustic Belgian malt with light barnyard notes and some tart notes. Body is quite full with low carbonation and no apparent alcohol. It doesn’t really taste like nothing else I’ve tried before but very god though nothing I would drink on a regular basis.
