Deadication brew here to Ken Dodd, the comedian who interested the taxman died on this day. Also known for his association with Diddymen. Nothing diddy about this brew with strong coffee and nut notes shared in both aroma and taste. Very good looking dark brew.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours a slick, dark chocolate brown. Almost black in the glass. Fine, dense, lasting, mocha head. Nose has nutty, dark chocolate. Milky coffee. Dried fruit. Vine fruit. Chocolate brownie. Definitely a hint of walnut, too. Taste is sweet and sticky, with a light, vinous bitterness. As the beer warms there’s a roast coffee bitterness too. Nice balance here. Slick and oily on the palate. Fine carbonation. Coffee truffle bitterness to finish. Really good. Would absolutely love to try this from a cask.
