This is a slightly souped up version of our regular US Session IPA the difference being we have added some Weyermanns carafa type 3 malt into the sparge to turn it black! Hops are Cascade, Centennial, El Dorado and Falconers Flight. Expect all the floral and fruity character of these hops, the only difference being it's black.

Cask @ Whitelocks, Leeds. Black with a thick frothy head. Hoppy with a dark malt character and an easy-drinking texture.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Very dark, cola brown. Super sticky, film of beige head. Nose has peachy hop. Charred grapefruit. A bit ashy and earthy. Taste is earthy, charred wood bitter. Light bodied. Maybe feels a little thin. More of the charred bitterness to finish. Ok. For me a black IPA works better when the ABV has some heft?
