Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, chestnut brown. Swirl, and some bubbles of tan head. Quite leggy. Nose is woody, charred, roast malts. Hints of stone fruit. Hint of coffee. Taste has a light sweetness, turning robust, woody bitter. Lots of body. Soft fizz matches well. A stickiness on the lips marries well with more of the robust, woody bitterness on the finish. Easy drinking.

Wakefield Beer Festival 2015. Fairly strong tasting with a sweetness, although the rum’s not overly evident.
