Some hops are just worth rejoicing over. That's why Ryejoice - a pale ale made using malted rye - is hopped (and then hopped some more) with handfuls of Nelson Sauvin from New Zeland, and Simcoe from Washington State, USA.

Bottle. Beeches of Walkley, Sheffield. Burnished copper colour, with a light haze. Tidy, sticky, lasting, off white head. Looks good. The rye and the Simcoe work well here. Light, skunky hop and plenty of spicy orange. Some vinous tang. Taste is soft bitter. Hint of dryness. Hint of sweet on the lips. Decent body, with a foamy mouthfeel. Finishes short, spicy bitter. Some dryness right on the close. Nice one. My first from this brewer. I’ll look forward to more.
