Aroma of roasted malts. Has good head and clear orange body. Flavour of roasted malts and that’s it. Kind of weak. Drinkable but a blah boring English beer.

500ml bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden, thin white head. Aromas of toffee and a slightly stale note, wet cardboard. Taste is light toffee, light twiggy note. OK, if a bit dull.

Bottle from Saucy Pears. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Like their other beers it doesn’t hang around too long. Nose - toffee but with a dank cardboard note. Taste - toffee, faint biscuits and spice in there. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - a bit bland and concerning cardboard aroma.

500ml Bottle: BBD end of Oct 14, bought at the brewery and poured into a vase shaped ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged glass on 24th Apr 14 and shared with no one. Clear golden to light amber, with a full white head, carbonation bubbles could be seen rising through the body throughout the tasting. Even blend of hop and malts, mild aroma of not much, but plenty of flavour in the taste and fairly full in the body for a 3.8% ABV brew. Pleasant blend that isn’t going to set your world alight, but as a session ale it sits just right.
