Bottle. Pours deep black, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is fudge, vanilla, bourbon, treacle. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter. Just a tad hot. Full body. Excellent as usual.

Rated at Hitas Beer Lounge - Platinum Edition. Sweet, caramely and heavy with toffee, syrup, bourbon, vanilla, oak and hints of raisins and figs. A bit heavy and syrupy

Tap at Ale Arsenal as part of SF Beerweek. Another great one from Private Press. Complex, nuanced and too easy to drink.

Poured from a 510 ml bottle. Aroma is malt forward with lots of toasted bread, caramel and toffee notes with hints of chocolate and roast. Light bourbon and faint oak notes with light alcohol notes. Hints of dark fruit notes. Pours dark brown, almost black with some brown hues on the edges. Small, thick, light mocha head that recedes quickly to a small film that lingers on the edges. Flavor is somewhat sweet with lots of caramel and toffee. Lighter notes of toasted bread, chocolate, and roast. A bit of a burnt sugar character. Moderately strong bitterness and medium light alcohol warmth. Light prune and date notes with hints of raisin. Light bourbon and hints of oak. Mouthfeel is full bodied and a bit sticky with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but not a great one. Solid malt character, but it's a bit darker and vinous compared to Limitations.
