For all the fans of NEIPA, Guavaland pushes this style to its deliciously juicy limits! Understated bitterness with tropical fruit abounding on the nose and the tongue. East Coast yeast meets West Coast hops delivering the much vaunted 'pillowy' mouthfeel and all the sticky resinous character one could desire from bounteous late hopping. Sunshine in a glass!

Bottle from Beer 52. Appearance - cloudy orange with tonnes of floaters. Nose - orange and orange peel. Pungent mango edge to it. Taste - more orange and mango than it is guava. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. Decent taper on the finish. Overall - good despite floaters and in my opinion not being specifically guava.

Bottle in Meldrum. It pours cloudy golden - orange with a medium white head. The aroma is juicy, bright, mango, peach, vibrant, fruit smoothie, guava and cake. The taste is dry, fruit smoothie, guava, watermelon, touch of spice, peachy, apricot, floury bread and some grass with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Smooth and fruity. Decent stuff.

33cl bottle from the Beer52 March 2018 box. A very murky amber pour with a ring of white head; big fruity aroma with pineapple and mango; dry in the mouth with lots of juicy tropical fruit and a thick smoothie-style body; then a woody bitterness and a little warmth to finish. Nicely done.
