Pigs Ear. Clear dark brown beer. Dry palate particularly the finish which is very dry. Otherwise well balanced dark malt and tangy dark orange and plums. Not too bitter.

Bottle. Huge creamy head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, nuts, spices, fruits, berries,c aramel and hops. If it wasnt for the label I would have expected this to be the winter warrant.

Bottled. Mediumsized beigeish brown foamy head on a deep ruby red body. Aroma is fruity, mild acidic wooden notes as well as some slight wooden notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but also has some mild raisins and toasted notes to it.

Cask-conditioned at the Sussex beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2011. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of dark fruit and liquorice with a touch of roasted malt. Sweetish malt flavour, with coffee, chocolate and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask @ Market Porter with Magic Dave6 and Mes. Also one of the beers that i really enjoyed. Dark brown color with a thin beige head. Very smooth and tasty. Coffee,Toffee, biscuits, chocolate and a distinct Baileys hint. Lovely finish, I wish I could have this on a regular basis.

Cask gravity at SIBA BF, Paddock Wood. Very dark brown with thin beige head. Attractive old ale aroma. I’d say it’s an old ale style, bit of sourness on excellent smooth herb and dark choc. Lots of herby hop on finish. It’s awesome, such a lovely old ale. Espresso coffee and bitter choc.
