Bottle from Homebrew Bottle Shop, Oxton in Birkenhead. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - definite ginger and some caramel. Taste - ginger dominant over caramel this time and pretty clean. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture. I might be imagining it but it felt like finemy grated ginger in there. Dry finish. Overall - I was in the mood for this kinda beer so enjoyed it very much.

Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Clear orange coloured pour with a halo off white head. Aroma is big ginger spices, slightly stale, dominant ginger. Flavour is spicy ginger, hot spicy ginger at the back of the throat. Palate is thin and watery. Way too much ginger.

Cask at the Reading beer festival. Golden-amber. Overwhelming ginger up front and a shitty grassy sour beer behind. Yes, they’ve tried to cover up a horrible beer with spice. Crap, just crap.

NWAF 25 Jan 13. Lys gylden. Nesten ikke skum. Ingefæraroma. Kraftig. Smaken det samme men går over til chilipepper. Søt ingefæravslutning.

Cask hand pulled half at The National Winter Ales Festival. Shared with Finn. Clear copper coloured body. No head. Plain ginger nose. Ginger taste, hints of cinnamon, a bit dough-like. Sharp ginger ending. Possible to drink, without further comments (Manchester, 25.01.2013).
