Crowler from Dogtap Ellon. It pours hazy deepish golden - yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, sweet doughy bread, lemon curd, biscuit, custard creams, sponge cake, lemon meringue, lime sherbet, kiwi and grass. The taste is fairly crisp, some dryness upfront, bitter - sweet character, nice sturdy malt base, biscuit, doughy bread, oatcakes, touch of cereal, custard creams, grassy, touch of pine, gooseberry, melon and and a pleasing nip of booze through the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Night and day difference from the base beer. Suites it.
