At Chriso New Year 2011/12 tasting. Mid brown colour lasting beige head. Hoppy for a brown ale. Malts are ok but way too hoppy for a brown ale.

Bottle, 5.6%. Cloudy dark brown colour. Very big stable tan head. Aroma of grassy hops, a bit weak. The flavour is caramelly and hoppy, grassy and teaish. Quite clean. OK bitterness, also quite clean, gets a bit rough in the late finish. (Too) high carbonation.

On tap. Hazy opaque brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose is hoppy and spicy but also unclean and farty. Medium body, hard roast, vaguely citrusy with a fairly dry and bitter finish. The aroma is a bit of a turn-off. 121111
