Can from Aldi Loco Works. It pours dark brown / black with a decent light tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, dull smoke, coffee, chocolate, nutty, tangy red berry and jam. The taste is pretty crisp, tart tangy raspberry, light acidity, toasty, earthy roast, milk chocolate, jammy, some black forest gateaux, burnt toast, coffee and a touch of spice with a drying, toasty finish. Lighter end of medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit lighter and tarter than expected, which is probably preferable to too sweet and milk. Fair.

Black beer, thick tan head. Smells of rich chocolate with a twang of raspberry running through it. Flavour has dark chocolate, toasty malt, some raspberry cutting through it again. It doesn't quite have the smooth creaminess you'd expect from something described as a milk stout but that's a quibble more than a criticism. It's rich and nicely balanced with the sharpness from the berries and very drinkable.
