At the moment we’re working with a reduced team on-site due to Covid-19 and sometimes, that leads to small mistakes – this is one of those times. Due to a bit of a miscommunication between the brewers and the rest of the team, we’ve brewed our latest MCC beer a little stronger than we’d originally planned and so instead of Everyone Loves Meridian at the usual 3.8%, we’re tweaking the name to just ‘Meridian’ to go with it’s new 4.4% ABV. The beer is still tasting awesome and exactly how we wanted it, just a bit stronger than we announced in the blog below!

Cask takeaway from The Redgarth. It pours clear yellow - gold with a small bubbly white cap. The aroma is soft and fruity, old-skool fruit cocktail, berry, pale grains, grass, biscuit and just a touch of spice . The taste is dry upfront, some pleasantly firm bitterness, clean, spicy, biscuit malt, floral, some tropical fruit vibes, white grape and berry skin with a dry finish. Lighter end of medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty mellow and balance. Hops are maybe not quite as expressive as the everyone loves series, but its an enjoyable and quenching ale for sure.
