Bottle from the brewery. It pours black with a bubbly tan cap. The aroma is toasty, rich roasted malt, coffee grounds, chocolate, charred, bounty bar, jammy, wagon wheels, teacakes, some umami and some coffee grounds. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, charred, woody, coffee grounds, toothy, spice, earth, dark chocolate, bourbon biscuits, umami, coffee grounds, some jamminess, warming booze and burnt toffee with a roasty finish. Fulsome body and fine carbonation. Pretty intense. Flavourful but pretty charry and plenty of umami. Enjoyable but I personally prefer the 13.
