Bottle picked up at Culloden. It pours clear copper - amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, zingy, orange marmalade, toffee, brown bread, pine and nut. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, wood, pine, leather, cereal, toasted nut, touch of spice, orange peel and grass with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Has a nice bitterness for whta I was expecting to be a non - descript malty ale. Moreish.
