A rich amber ale with a deep malt presence from English Maris Otter and chocolate malts. Amarillo and Cascade hops provide a distinctive citrus fruit aroma and a clean bitterness to finish.

On keg at the Grosvenor, Hanwell, 18/9/2014. Murky brown in appearance with a slight, off-white, head. Grassy hops, sweetish, almost chocolatey, malts, green tea and a gentle finish. Good.

Tap at Brewery during RBESG 2014 - amber pour with a off-white head. Citrus fruity and sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel, toffee, lots of citrus hop on the palate, really liked this.

Bottle at the brewery. Murky dark red brown color, average sized off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, nicely hoppy, a hint of fruits, nicely bitter. Don’t know why it’s called gold, but it’s a nice beer, nothing wrong with it.

Bottle - Some dark malt and biscuit. Brown copper with a rich white head. Lightly bitter and some pith and light dark malt sweetness. Very dry and not what I expected.
