6.4/10 — Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 5 Texture 8 Overall 5.5
Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a cloudy burnt orange to amber color with a thin white little head that quickly dissipated to a glossy lace.
The aroma combined citrus to grains with a sweet cracker-like underscore. Light grassiness.
The flavor seemed to keep that separated taste about it. Sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet. Light grainy sweet aftertaste. Toast-like finish.
On the palate, this one seemed to sit about medium bodied. Somewhat sessionable. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt fine and dandy.
Overall, aroma and feel were fine, but the taste didn’t seem to come together. I mean it tasted fine, but just didn’t really tell me this could be a knockout.

Draft at the brewery bar. Pours murky amber-gold with a creamy topping. The aroma has some citrus hops, pale grains, tangerine. Light-medium sweet flavor with grainy bread, orange rind, dirty hay, grain. Neodymium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes bitter, rindy, grainy. So so. Not terribly cohesive.

Keg at the brewpub. It pours hazy orange - amber with a thick white head. The nose is earthy, spicy, lightly herbal, bread and cereal. The taste is crisp, bitter, spicy, herbal, bitter orange, treacle cake, grass, toffee and bread with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit messy. Plenty going on, just not harmoniously.
