Cask at the Spread Eagle, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, wood, caramel, spice and leather. The taste is light bitterness, earthy, wood, spicy hops, leather, floral notes, varnish and caramel with a dry, somewhat spicy. Medium body and soft carbonation. It’s a nice idea, but lacks the wow factor taste-wise.
