Gravity cask at Beer Rebellion Gipsy Hill - London. Pours clear brown with a light, foamy off-white head. The nose is all burnt toast, roasted malts, chocolate, torched pine and grass. Light sweet flavor with oily chocolate, hard grassy bitterness, baking cocoa and charred pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and a chewy mouthfeel. Finishes with hard-edge burnt grass, more burnt pine, some orange rind, earth and minerals. Not excellent.

Cask gravity at Beer Rebellion GH. It pours dark brown with minimal head. The nose is earth, coffee, ashy, citrus peel and dirt. The taste is raw bitterness, ashy, roasty, dirt, coffee, resin, charred wood and some astringency with a dry, very bitter finish. Light acidity. Medium body and low carbonation. Pretty harsh and burnt. Very raw bitterness. Couldn’t drink much of this.
