So very smooth, so very chocolatey, coats your mouth with rich bitter cocoa and slides down like a velvety glove. A luxurious treat of a beer.

Bottle at Pat’s chriso birthday tasting. Pours cloudy brown with a small, beige head. Some dry cocoa in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, great and true chocolate character, light roast, light earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet finish, lots of lingering chocolate, lightly dry cocoa. Very solid beer. Chocolate meshes nicely.

On gravity at Factoberfest, The Tobacco Factory, Bristol 17/09/2011. Jet black with a slight tan head. Bitter chocolate and black coffee aroma. Flavour began with more of the same, before some sweeter chocolate followed by a dry finish. Excellent.
