So very smooth, so very chocolatey, coats your mouth with rich bitter cocoa and slides down like a velvety glove. A luxurious treat of a beer.

Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting. Gusher! It pours dark brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is cocoa, bitter chocolate, roasted malt and filter coffee. The taste is roasted malt, charcoal, bitter chocolate, filter coffee and toast, with a dry finish. Medium body, lively carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A solid stout.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque murky dark brown with a tiny off-white head. Juicy, pruney nose. Medium body, almost flat, alright - a little chocolatey if you insist but close to being ruined by cheesy fermentation errors, overripe pruney fruit. Hardly any bitterness. 030312

Bottle at home shared with my dad 21.12.11 ordered direct from Bristol Beer Factory. Pours very, very dark brown, this just doesn’t look as black as some of these stouts, there is a large beige head which swiftly departs. This is really chocolatey, its smooth, creamy and with a late cocoa powderyness in the mouth, really enjoyable. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottled at oh6gdx’s birthday bash at chriso’s. Very dark brown, small head. Chocolatey nose. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. A bit like a coffee flavoured chocolate praline. Low bitterness. Nice.
