Can from O’Brien’s, Athlone [020417]
Copper colour, light haze, thin white head, light lacing
Aroma of caramel, soft orange, soft sweet caramelised oranges
Taste of bitter zest hops, bitter orange, fruity caramel, hint of toffee, lots of bitterness
Palate - Soft carb, medlium body, light sweet malt. Finish is dry, very bitter hops, afters a bit too bitter, almost towards a paracetamol bitterness
Overall - Finish is over harsh, too much raw bitterness here over flavour
