Oh for the sparkling, restorative qualities of an English Pale Ale. We’ve plumped for Plumage Archer, a heritage barley variety, grown organically by David Wilson on Fir Farm up in the Cotswolds. Its fully rounded flavour plays majestically with Admiral, First Gold, Target and Whitbread Goldings Variety hops from Hukin Hops in Kent, for a drinking experience that is a veritable delight.

Can. Sickbed rate. Be nice to taste something other than salty snot! Near clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head that actually hangs around for a bit. Palate is light and mildly dry, a good fine minerally crispness. Light smooth pale malts, not grainy, not creamy, just smooth and moderately sweet. Great UK hops, light crisp pine, a mild earthy bitterness, tangy and slightly woody mandarin and orange citrus. Mild hop spice. Light crisp finish. So reminiscent of ales of yore but, delivered in a bright, clean and crisp modern manner. Salute!

09.08.24: Jeg er på skarpt oppdrag i Londons West End, og går nå planken på Craft Beer Co.: nesten helt klar gylden med fint skum som varer. Einer, furunål/barskog, lys malt og noen florale toner. Tørr og skarp.
