11/VII/2012 - 75cl bottle from De Bierloods / Zytholoog (Adegem) @ home - BB: IX/2011 (2012-713)

Clear ruby red beer, big creamy pink head, unstable, adhesive. Aroma: candy, citric acidity, bit yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: chloride start, lots of citric acidity, some cherry candy, little bitter. Aftertaste: sourish, sweet candy, artificial cherry flavour, but sugary. Not the worst sweet kriek I ever had! Would not buy it again, but it someone offered me a glass, I wouldn't refuse it.

As Den Triest Kriek
Clear red body. Pink, creamy head. Aroma of cherries: lightly sour - sourness clearly from the sour cherries and not a lambic style sourness. Quite nice and well drinkable.

Bottle, 75cl, as Triest Kriek. A glowing, cherry red beer topped by a dense, pinkish white head leaving some lacings. Sour cherries and some sourish notes on the nose. A light herbal hint in the far back, and also a touch of almonds. The flavor is quite pleasant, a blend of cherries of lemon. Dry on the palate, pleasantly carbonated and medium bodied. A quite decent cherry beer, tart and tasteful, but too bland aroma. 111105

Faintly hazed, but bright garnet-cyclamen beer, under a huge, pink to cyclamen head, slowly collapsing leaving lacerings. Fruity nose, with cherries and some vegetable aroma as green peas or unboiled cabbage leaf. Sweet-sourish cherries’ flavour, partly sweets-like, partly cherryjuice-like. Nearly tart. Good fruitflavour, and a bit of "Madeleine" cookies. Quite dry, certainly in the finish. Good as it is, it is cruelly missing the flavours from the cherrystones. The juice makes it a tad too... softdrink-like.
