Bottle at Barley Wine, Copenhagen. Pours clear, orange-gold with a small, white foam head. Tangy lemon and sweet, stern doughy bread nose. Interesting flavor, not too sweet but the sugar is there, some light tangy citrus, maybe ripe tangerine, a bit of faint yeast, some zippy orange essence. Medium to full bodied with average to lively carbonation. Faintly warming to finish with some more subtly tangy dough and citrus. A little bit boozy, even though it lacks any sting. Interesting.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and a bit of apples. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, apples, and wet cardboard, leading to a stinging finish. Odd. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy pale golden with hardly any head at all. Sweet bon-bon and bubble gum in the nose. Medium body, hardly any carbonation, sweet and distinct apple notes with a little vanilla. Quite some late hops. An odd bird indeed, but not entirely unpleasant. 141111

Bottle. It pours an unclear, yellowish golden body and a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has a distinct sourish touch, with some pale malts, honey and apples. Don’t think I’d recognize the honey if I didn’t read it in the commercial description. Almost yeasty. The flavor is slightly more pleasant, with apples, pale malts and some generic fruityness. Medium body, quite dry. Long finish. A strange one, that’s for sure. Not my choice. 111105
