On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a hazy deep reddish peach with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet berries with light funk and a bit of sweet grains. Flavor is similar with slightly tart berries, light sweetness and a bit of funk backing.

Draft at the Dogfish Head Alehouse - Fairfax, served in a snifter. Poured a kind of clear light-ruby red color with a small off-white, slightly pink head. Aroma was raspberries, light blueberry. Some red wine barrel notes, light woody notes. Flavor was light, pleasant tartness. Not overly tart, so not a lot of pucker, which is probably for the best for this kind of beer. Easy to drink for 8% which was a little crazy. Slightly sweet finish, which is to be expected from a DFH beer. I’d drink this one again if I got the chance.
