Half-pint, cask at Cardinals Hat. Remaining beige head to a plain black body. Spotty lacing. Promising smell of roasted malts, bready. Dark malt-driven taste with moments of bread and liquorice. Roasted ending, mid-sweet. Decent, easy drinking, stout. (Worcester 29.06.2019).

Cask at Wellington, Birmingham
Black color, creamy head. The aroma has mild roasted malts, a bit dusty, with some grilled bread. Smooth and dry mouthfeel; it has a very nice flavor of roasted malt and dark chocolate, fresh, elegant; some more roastiness in the final, with some freshly brewed coffee.
Excellent cask Stout.

Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed Saturday 22.10.11 I picked this up at The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome, Herefordshire summer 2011 A rather uncompromising stout, its not too sweet (good thing) not too heavy (another good thing), not too hoppy (yet another good thing) and quite nice and roasty. However despite all these ticks in the right boxes I still feel that it could have been even better, it was good but somehow promised more than it eventually delivered. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
