King's Ale is a superb easy drinking tawny ale, full of taste and flavour. The finest malted barley is combined with Fuggles and East Kent Goldings hops to give depth and character. A truly majestic ale.

Chestnut brown with a frothy off-white head and a soft malt and floral hops mixed up aroma. Light bodied, malt sweetness, floral hops and a dry bitter finish.

I'm being watched by a fine collection of Toby Jugs for this one, which is a session bitter with a hop-malt balance and very mild caramels. Mid to high bitterness here.

1/3 cask pour at GBBF Winter. dark golden pour with a small, sturdy head. Aroma and taste are right in the wheelhouse for the style, Malty, mild sweetness and just enough bitterness.

Cask at Crewe Dgo, Crewe. Pours a slightly hazy dark copper with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s roasted nuts in the aroma along with malts and hints of caramel. Quite similar in the mouth, where the main flavours are malts and traditional hops plus traces of ginger and other spices. Quite highly carbonated, and the finish is decidedly bitter. This is a decent session bitter – packs quite a punch for it’s strength.
