Pour is a mahogany brown with a small tan head. Aroma is coffee and cinnamon. Flavor is roasted malt and some cinnamon and bitter orange peel. Not much biere de garde. This is more like a spiced brown ale. This is good but this is one of those beers where more than a sample would be a bit much.

From Beer Drop. No dating on the can.
It pours what looks to be an opaque dark brown with a short lived head of foam.
Smell is of both bitterness and sweetness, orange peel explains the bitterness, cinnamon brings spice and sweet notes.
The taste has that all with some toffee, chocolate like bitter tones, it’s turning out more on the bitter side than sweet.
Firm medium body, this is a very unusual beer. I like it.

Tulip at the brewery - dark Amber pour - excellent caramelization of the malts here, creating a rich, flavorful brew with spices and chocolate, along with hazelnut - toasty finish tempers the sweetness, but still perhaps a bit too sweet overall - still, quite enjoyable.
