Can to becher.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a one finger khaki foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts, light tones of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, milk chocolate and some figs
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas nice and semi-sweet with a mild roasty hint then a mild finish of roasted coffee and dark chocolate.
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also some coffee grit which was more or less just noticeable
Overall: a very nicely done porter I would be willing to come back to.

16 ounce can. Nearly translucent dark brown color. Large fluffy tan head. Wonderful mosaic lacing. Subtle roasted malt aroma. Notes of chocolate and toffee. Flavor follows nose. Chocolate, toffee and roasted malt. Dark dried fruits. Smooth and approachable.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer Merchants online. Pours black-brown with a dense, frothy mocha cap. Medium sweet flavour with lovely smooth dark malt character, cocoa, soft roast, toasted biscuits, raisins. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Lightly warming finish, more rounded dark malts, bittersweet cocoa. Great stuff.
