Bottle sample, courtesy of fiulijn, pours a hazy orange amber. Nose is intense, with tons of decadent honey nectar, heavy sweetness and some alcohol. Flavour is extremely sweet and heavy, with tons of syrupy honey nectar, extraordinary sweetness to the point of cloying and a lovely warming effect. Haven't had too many meads heavier, more viscous and syrupy than this one. Decadent dessert drinking.

Measured Final Gravity: 1110

The color is golden blond, like a summer sunset; it pour viscously, and it has beautiful sugary legs on the glass. Fantastic aroma, full, deep, with maritime bushes, fig leaves, fresh wood, and honey; also very light alcohol. The mouthfeel is thick and syrupy, indeed this Mead is very sweet (the Gravity is even higher than in a Poltorak); it has a strong honey flavor, with tones of forest honey, and again an impression of fig sap that gives also a very light woody astringency in the end; the alcohol presence is very well managed, with just some warmth appearing.
Despite the disclaimer on the label (fermented honey), this may as well be a fortified Mead, because the alcohol content is very high and the sweetness too.
Very good; it lacks some depth, but it’s very well brewed.
