30/VIII/15 - 33cl bottle from De Zytholoog / Bierloods (Adegem) @ my parents' place - BB: 10/III/10 (2015-1151)
Clear red brown beer, big frothy beige head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very oxidized, very metallic, sweet, sugary, caramel and weird enough some boxed orange juice. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of chocolate, bit sourish, dried fruits, caramel, bit oxidized. Aftertaste: metallic, more chocolate, oxidation, lots of dried fruits, caramel, sweet malts. Very nice brew, or at least it has aged very beautifully!

Gushing to fully hazy, dark brown beer & ditto puddle on the table; very dense, creamy and even head. Dark malts, molasses, brown sugar and faintly spicy nose. Sweet-bitter, unbalanced taste, raw woody-spicy bitterness overlying cloying sweetness with honey, liquorice and gingerbread, but all flavours clashing. Very slick, rather well-bodied. Ugh. VS have done their best for another wannabe.
