Light haze on this amber beer, little white head. Dry palate, slightly airy. Spicy semi sweet malt. Traces of caramel and dried fruits. Finishes dry. Not the most deft of tripels but it’s okay.

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Like so many tripels, this one is too sweet. The alcohol is not integrated effectively. Fine yeasty character. Not bad overall, but certainly lacks subtlety.

Bottle 750ml.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, toffee, alcohol, boozy, marzipan notes. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, boozy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20110930]

fonefan tasting. Clear amber with an off-white hed. Aroma is sweet, malty, grain and light yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. ry and light bitter finish. 300911

Bottle @ Morten minus Peter smagning, Ulfborg. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Sweet nose of spices and yeast. Boozy and alcoholic flavor. Medium bodied. Incomplex.

Bottle. slightly hazy amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruit and bread. Flavour is malt, caramel, fruit, bread, yeast, sweet, hops and notes of alcohol.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, caramel, alcohol, sugar and hops.

Pours hazy orange gold with thin white head. The aroma speaks of the smooth goodness to come. Yum, raisins, plums, apricots and blunted spices. The taste brings up fruity sweetness, Belgian candi sugar and tasty yeasty spices. Thick brew yet smooth and mellowed. It has aged very well at only a year old. Feels and tastes like a 4 year old vintage beer.

Bottle. Sour apple and peach aroma with noted acidity. Orange-yellow color with minimal head. Sweet peach-apple flavor with a moderate hops and mild acidic finish. Very nice tripel.

(draught) Very clear gold to orange; slim rim for head. Some malt, some grassy hops, some cheese and a touch of coriandre in the nose. Taste comes in bitter with hops, roasted malts and lots of orangezest. Well-filled, plenty of malts for beefing it up. I have some trouble making out the style. But being hoppy, malty and well-balanced enough, why complain?
