500ml bottle from Asda, Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham. Pours gold, moderate sized white head, leaves a decent looking top. Sweet malts, citrus, zest, some biscuit in aroma. Taste is like aroma, quite biscuity with citrus, zest and pine notes coming through. Quite dry, almost astringent, but its light and refreshing which counters this somewhat. Nice even if its not a standout golden ale.

Bottle from Asda, High Wycombe. Deep, dull gold with a white head and middling fizz. Pleasant lemon and peach up front. Descends into a rather dull caramel finish. Quite sweet; could do with a lot more crispness in the finish. So-so overall.

[Cask at the festival at the Bull, Barkham.] A pale straw pour with a slight haze and a ring of white head; sweet floral aroma; floral and dry in the mouth with some orange juice; and a sweet marmalade finish.
