330ml bottle bought at L'Abadia in Benidorm. Good looking in the glass with a clear copper coloured body under a patchy, off-white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass. Appealing smell of pine needles and mid-sweet brown malts. Well blended taste character of pine, almond and caramel. Piney bitterness to the ending. Smooth on the swallow. Fine depth. Pleasant to drink on a Saturday eve. (Hotel room, Albir 06.04.2019).

Robijnrood bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht rokig met iets van noten. Bier heeft veel bezinksel in het glas.

Cream coloured, rather small head, if reasonably stable, over (cold)hazy amber-golden beer. End of bottle quite some UFO’s. Fragrant citrussy New World hops, nectarine, lunaria, onripe passion fruit and ditto banana. Very bitter, leafy & earthy flavour; very dry, hardly any restsugars. Finish is very yeast-determined. Light body, slick, medium carbonation, dry finish and aftertaste. Actually... excellent. Leafy amber bomb - much better than expected, but IMHO, this is more an American ale than what is understood in Europe as amber ale.

Sampled from bottle courtesy of Maakun, thanks. Still hanging out in front of Dorst, opening evening. Reddish amber with huge fluffy light tan head. Sweet caramel malts, spices, big vegetal bitterness. Medium sweet. Under medium body with big carbonation. Bit strange. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sansa on 21 Dec 2017 at 23:38 - Score: 6.
