Dab Hand, ABV 6.5%, is made from a blend of 75% Dabinett and 25% Michelin cider apples grown in Herefordshire. Dab Hand has a softer mouth feel, due to higher tannin levels, and a very different taste to Combe Raider.

27/10/2020. Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Pours hazy/cloudy dark orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is funky, appley, woody with a spicy edge. Moderate sweetness and tartness. Moderate body, slightly watery texture, average carbonation. Quite enjoyed this.

500ml bottle from Scrattings. Would've shared with Soph, but she wasn't keen. Pours a deep, lightly misty copper. Wild fermented apple fruit on the nose, orchard meadow nettles, sweaty cheese. Taste is immediately quite tangy and harsh with a robust acidity, bristling wild character with oaky leather, cheese, bark, rubber. An acquired taste but has its likeable moments.

500ml bottle. Hazy orange gold colour, no head and aroma of tangy apple & barnyard. Taste is sharp, tart apple, fruity, then mellow and musty, with woody barnyard, leathery funk. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

At the Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, 30/7/2011. Amber with a trace of carbonation. Decent apple fruits, with a hint of wood and caramel sweetness, leading to a medium dry finish. Fine.
