Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just vague hints of summer fruits and oranges. In the mouth it starts off quite simple as sweetm watery and malty but with some slight hoppiness lurking underneath. But the more you taste it the more you find traces of other flavours lurking below – orange squash, lemons, biscuits and ginger. Finish is quite bitter. This is nice – refreshing with some hidden depths.

25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours clear bright golden with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Aroma of fruit, hops, malt and grain. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation. Nice bitter finish, with a hint of banana. Quite decent though lacked some body.

2nd June 2018, cask half-pint, hand-pulled in The Ponsonby Arms, Llangollen, Wales. Clear golden body, wispy white head. Not a great amount going on really, some mild maltiness and a slight citrus note or two. An easy drinking afternoon session ale, but not full of flavour or any depth of body.

Clear golden beer with a decent white head. Barely any aroma one way or the other. Flavour is light, sweet hop. Not anything special but very drinkable.
