An excellent variety, thought to originate between Much Marcle and Dymock. It produces generous crops of perfectly round yellow pears. The flavour is crisp and tangy, reminiscent of the very best sherbet.

500ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. 6.7%, Pressed Oct 2019, Bottled Nov 2020, Batch P51. Pale yellow colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of fruity perry pear, some funk. Taste is sweetish, pear, some tartness, fruity, fleshy, alittle skin, acidic, with woody funky notes and a slight tannic hint. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable.

75cl clear bottle from Middle Farm. It pours clear very pale greenish - yellow with the odd bubble or two. The aroma is soft, sweet, tangy, pear skin, farmyard, manure and dirt. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, dull sweetness, pear, apple skin, white grape, touch of acidity, earth, tannin and dirty farmyard with a dry finish. Medium and a touch of fine, prickly carbonation. Quaffable.

Bottle, 6.5%. Slightly hazy yellow with tiny white head. Aroma is pear, funk, fruit peel and a little sulphur. Flavour is pear, fruit peel, medium sweet, little sulphur and a little dry.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting, my place. No head. Color is pale yellow. Aroma and taste are apples, perry, fruit juice, stable and has a nice fruity dry finish.

Clear light yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy pear, celery, leather - farmyard, light wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a average to long duration, pear, tart, celery, green pear - pear skin. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161018]
