Poured from a 2017 vintage, 750 ml bottle. Aroma is vinous with green grape, cherry and lemon notes. Light grain and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Very faint, earthy, herbal note. Pours a hazy, copper-orange color with a medium sized, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly acidic and a somewhat sharp with light grain notes. Medium light bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate lemon notes with some green grapes and white wine as well. Hints of oak and very faint herbal, earthy hop notes. A light vinegar note. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, the aroma in the beer is really nice but the flavor is too sharply acidic with a vinegar note present. It lacks the complexity I would hope for and is instead one dimensionally acidic. Needs somer earthy, herbal funk and must as well as some phenolics notes. A bit watery and thin in the finish.

Sample at Beer Meets Wood on 09/23/2017. Slightly hazy straw color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast, oak and malt. Medium body with flavors of funky fruit, vinous oak, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is mildly sour with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
