It is that time of year, and we are getting in on the action for #timboweek2024! Our good friends at Highland Park Brewery have invited us once again to brew their delicious West Coast Pilsner, Timbo Pils. This progressive, hop forward lager beer is hopped with gobs of Mosaic & Citra, and just a dab of HBC 586. It's extra pale, light bodied and infused with crackery Pilsner malt goodness that gives way to a chorus of dank citrus oil and Riesling grape notes chased by layer after layer of mango, passion fruit and pineapple. Brewing this beer once a year is something we really look forward to, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Pours a clear pale gold with close to a finger of foam, retention and lacing are very good.
Smell is tropical fruit, grapefruit citrus, hoppy with some other fruits going on.
Taste is very hoppy with grapefruit citrus, tropical fruit, very dry almost like dry hopped, cracker malt. All aspects are pretty intense for a Pilsner.
Medium bodied, I would drink this again.

Poured from a 16 oz can with a bit of a fuzzy date, but I think it says August 10, 2023. Aroma is fairly hop forward with lots of passion fruit, mango, berry and tropical citrus notes. Light tangerine notes as well. Light bready, cracker malt notes as well and hints of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, but slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, medium thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light bread and cracker malt notes. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong hop flavors of berry, tropical citrus, tangerine and passion fruit. Some lingering citrus and pine notes in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid hop forward pilsner. Not a crisp and dry as I would prefer but the hop notes are really nice. Some light sweetness and malt notes help hide the alcohol notes. Pretty tasty and I like it a bit more than the Cellarmaker version.
