Poured from a 375 ml bottle. Aroma is malt forward with tons of chocolate and medium light roast notes. Some dark caramel, toffee, honey and toasted bread notes. Moderate bourbon and light oak notes with hints of almonds, coconut and vanilla. Medium light alcohol notes. Pours jet black with a medium small, thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. No lacing and super long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with tons of chocolate notes and lighter roast and coffee notes. Quite a bit of caramel and toffee with lighter notes of honey, toasted bread and molasses. Moderately strong bitterness and moderate alcohol notes. Moderately strong bourbon notes with lighter oak and hints of almonds and vanilla. Mouthfeel is very full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid, big stout. Tons of bourbon notes with a huge malt character. A great stout, but the snotty, sludge that was in my bottle was unfortunate; very off-putting.
