Poured from a 22 oz can dated July 11, 2022. Aroma is hop forward and fruity with passion fruit, guava, tropical citrus and hi at of melon. Light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a hazy, somewhat dull, golden straw color with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes to a film that lingers on the edges. Fairly high amount of lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Fairly high bitterness with light alcohol notes. Fairly hop forward and fruity with lots of watermelon, passion fruit, guava and tropical citrus. Lighter dank, oily resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid IPA. This has really nice, fruity hop notes but a more assertive bitterness and a bit more malt profile to carry it all. An interesting hop profile with a melon note that is atypical and definitely leans towards watermelon.
