Bottle shared by Kelly & Chris at my 20k Release Bottle Share, 10/8/22. Dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, cherry, maple. Taste is maple, vanilla, roast, cherry. Full bodied, boozy. Nice.

From bottle to tulip glass. Aroma is dominant maple and slight vanilla. Pours very deep brown, with full tan head that lingers and patterns well down the glass. Taste is maple (which has a slightly artificial taste), chocolate and bourbon barrel. A moderate-low amount of roasted malt on this. Alcohol is present, and presents a chewy mouthfeel with large amounts of flavor lingering forever on the tongue. Not sure this has many characteristics of French Toast - but still a very good Eclipse.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is adjunct forward with quite a bit of maple and cinnamon. Lighter notes of lactose. Moderately strong chocolate and roast notes. Light bourbon and alcohol spice. Pours jet black with a medium large, thick, fluffy, light mocha head that recedes slowly to a small, thick creamy film that lingers. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with moderate chocolate malt notes and lighter notes of caramel, toffee and roast. Moderately strong lactose notes. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Moderate cinnamon and maple notes with light bourbon character. Mouthfeel is full bodied and a bit sticky with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid adjunct-forward, pastry stout. The Eclipses are much sweeter this year with the lactose; a bit too sweet for my preferences. Cinnamon and maple are well balanced.
