Poured from a 16 oz can dated September 08, 2020. Aroma is pretty hop forward with stronger notes of passion fruit, mango, tropical citrus and lighter dank notes, tangerine and melon. Light cracker malt notes with hints of caramel. Light alcohol notes. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant, golden-orange color with a medium large, thick, fluffy white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers in larger clumps on the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes and light caramel. Fairly strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Fairly strong hop notes with orange, grapefruit, tropical citrus and a dank note most prevalent. Lighter notes of passion fruit, guava and mango. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty solid West Coast DIPA. Lots of hop aroma and flavor but balanced by quite a bit of bitterness and a solid malt profile. Alcohol is well hidden.
