Cask-conditioned at George’s Meeting House (JDW), Exeter 25/07/09. Amber coloured with a moderate, off-white head. fruity mlat aroma with some grassy hops. Flavour of doughy malts, red fruit and a hint of spice, before a sweetish finish. Ok.

Cask at Crosse Keys Spoons. Chestnut, thin beige head. Aroma of spirits, gin or whisky with some syrupy malt in mouth. Not entirely pleasant. OK, strongish bitter, but a bit too syrupy.

Cask conditioned at The Three Judges, Glasgow. Copper coloured beer. Malty and fruity sweetish aroma, notes of red berries. The flavour is also malty sweet and fruity, hints of blackcurrants. Minimal bitterness. A bit too much on the sweet side for me, but not bad.

bottle, bought at Darts Farm near Exeter. Copper/amber colour, large and creamy head. Fruity flavours, malty, hopy in the background but clearly detectable. Quite complex brew.
