Flaske 0,5l. Spandert av Rune under hyggelig treff i WCveien 11 Jan 14. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget skum. Prikklacing. Aroma av sjokolade med et svakt syrlig preg. Smaken er syrlig med et forvirrende preg. Underlig.

500ml bottle, 190 of 468, received from KnutAlbert exactly two years ago, thanks. The body is dark as pitch and topped by a creamy, tan-coloured head blanketing the glassware. Roasted dark malts on the nose joined by subdued fruity tartness. Developing taste character of roasted malts, tart berries and whisky hints leading to a malt bitter finish. Fine bodied. Tasty stuff (shared with good friends during a Saturday night party, Tromsø 11.01.2014).

Opaque black beer. Semi dry palate. Fresh and minerally. Remarkably tangy, flirting with sour. Tangy dark fruits, sourish whisky, whisper of smoke. Off the beaten track.

0.5l bottle #182 of 468 from myBrewerytap. This is a fantastic black beer with a almost magically enormous and lasting fluffy as hell ashy head. Some sour tones in the aroma. Lots and lots of chocolate and it's also slightly woody with traces of distinct smoke. Quite full-bodied and it has a average carbonation level. The same wild-yeasty tones found in the aroma is most definitely also here in the flavor. My god, this tasted fantastic good paired with a heavy beef and a acidic Bearnaise sauce. It's almost like having a #1 of Haandbryggeriets Odins Tripel. (Just the way I remember my #100 rating.) Ends with both chocolate and a lovely roasted finish. 500ml bottle [#214 of 468]. Opaque black with huge lasting brown head. Aroma is dark malt, chocolate with fading blueberry notes, no longer noticeable after "decantation", and otherwise be replaced by whiskey notes. Taste is assimilable in the beginning, then a somewhat sparkling and sour taste comes in, making the finish a bit displeasing. Dry, sour, almost wine-like, in any case more Porter- than Stout-like in my opinion.

Bottle @ Chris O’s. Thanks guys. Pours black with a creamy brown head and lacings. Fruit, roast and ashes. Oily and sticky. Very smooth. Nice.

Bottle 500ml. [ Bottle # 156 of 468 ]. Dark black colour with a huge, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, wood, coal, smoke, tar. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light heavy bitter with a long to average duration, tar - wood, whisky, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110803]

Bottled@Chriso. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is alcohol, raisins, some fruits, mild whisky notes as well as some slight vanilla. Flavour is quite pleasantly the same along with some plummy notes.

500ml bottle. Pours jet black with a large head. Aroma is blackcurrant, cough medicine and whiskey notes underneath. Taste is full of iodine, lots of blackcurrant on the finish and aftertaste. Full in the mouth, but not too thick. Hides the booze. Lovely beer.
