Bottle (from etre gourmet). Pours dark copper with tan head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, fruits, malt, nuts. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, fruits, waffles, malt, sugar, cocoa. Finish is sweet, slight rubber, and some alcohol warmth. Overall: very good sipper

Tap @ Arendsnest, sample size glass. Clear deep dark red-brown color. Dense light beige head. Aroma’s: sweet fruit, sugar water. Retronasal it’s sweet, (brown) sugar, red fruit. Flavor is above moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Short finish. Kind of disappointing, but maybe I’ve just had my share of quads.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep hazy dark brown, timid tan head. Aroma is vibrant sweet quad yeast. Taste wonderfully sweet with good nutty shavings. Brown sugar and caramel-esque yeast lend a warming presence. Ace.

Bottle. Brown color. Aroma is really sweet, with raisin, banana yeast, caramel and malt, almost like a dunkel weizen. Taste is very sweet, with banana yeast, candy sugar, caramel, wheat flavor, ripe fruit and a sweet nuttyness. Really more like a dunkel weizen than a quad, mainly because of the dominant banana yeast. Meh.

Bottle from Real Ale Store, Newark. Deep chestnutty brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is nutty caramel, taste is light sweet, and caramel, warming alcohol body.

Botella 33 cl en Cimmeria 11..03..2017 Fcpref ilegible en chapa. (r17). Color tostado oscuro con espuma beige. Aromas y sabores intensos a maltas tostadas algo caramelizadas. Ligeros ahumados y toques de frutos secos y algo de frutos pasos. Cuerpo medio a intenso con buena sensación alcohólica y algo denso 11.3vol. Bastante buena.
