Deep, slightly hazy golden and peach coloured body with a nice glow of copper and a smooth, single to two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pungent deep citrusey hops with a lot of dry notes and bitterness throughout, along with a good dose of alcohol and malts for balance, but the hops smell strong. Medium-bodied; Rich malty flavour at first that shows a ton of alpha acid and bitter hop notes that hit the citra profile right at first, then fade to show some more of the earthy and almost nutty characteristic from the Simcoe and Falconer hop varietals. Aftertaste shows a good balance between the relatively pungent malt notes and deep alcohol bite with some extra medicinal notes, but the light sweetness on the end from some resin and more of the fruit flavours make this drinkable, but on the heavier and deeper side. Overall, a nice and pungent almost, Imperial-ish IPA with a lot of good bitterness and alpha acid hops up front that blend well with all the malt and alcohol notes afterwards. I sampled this sixteen ounce can, given to me after a hockey game in Arlington (Ballston), Virginia in August 2019 by the GM of the brewery, thanks Erik!

Draft pour at Rustico Alexandria. Poured a hazy, dark orange color (very light reddish hue, but not ruby or anything), basically just a very intense orange color. Aroma was smooth citrus. Creamy. Some very mild grassy onion with a mild, pine character. Really tasty.

16oz can ppurs a basically opaque sunset orange with some soapy, white head. Nose is nice and pungent, stinky onion patch, grass, scallion, malt, orange, honey comb, herbs. Flavor is better, tangerines, orange, malt, honey, mango, pineapple, scallion and scape. Full bodied, sticky, bitter finish. Strong. 8 3 8 4 15
